Kimble Chase Donates to The Smile Train
Event supports organization that provides surgery for repair of cleft lips and palates to children in 78 countries
On March 14th, 2011, laboratory dealers created smiles around the world when they attended an event organized by Kimble Chase, the largest manufacturer of laboratory glassware worldwide. For each dealer who attended, Kimble Chase made a donation to The Smile Train, a charitable organization dedicated to repairing children’s cleft lips and palates. The event, “Creating a World of Smiles,” was held at the World of Coca-Cola in downtown Atlanta, GA during Pittcon 2011. Over 85 people attended the event resulting in a donation large enough for 10 surgeries.
“We are delighted to support The Smile Train,” said Kelly Williams, global marketing director at Kimble Chase LLC. “This organization’s simplicity and focus is admirable and we are glad to be able to help contribute to their cause,” she added. In 2010, Kimble Chase launched its Global Labware Advancing Scientific Solutions campaign to emphasize its global leadership in manufacturing and selling laboratory glassware. This year’s “Creating a World of Smiles” further underscores the worldwide use of Kimble Chase products for medical and scientific research.
